About Us
Michael
Bloomstein is the South Coast’s leading supplier of materials and
equipment to manufacturing jewellers and silversmiths, and dealing
in precious metals has been the Bloomsteins’ family business for
four generations. Michael Bloomstein, the proprietor of Michael
Bloomstein Precious Metals, has been dealing in scrap gold and
silver for more than 50 years in both London and Brighton. Having
worked from a warehouse in London, Michael moved to Brighton in the
late 1970s, and the shop at 30 Gloucester Road in the North Laines
was established in 1983.
Having taken on
staff with the opening of the shop, the company has evolved from
simply buying scrap gold, silver and platinum; to include supplying
materials and jewellers’ accessories to gold- and silversmiths; and
now also selling jewellery from the premises. An additional
innovative service introduced several years ago is the specially
designed, registered and insured Security Package. Full details of

website.
Our
staff are fully trained to quickly and accurately assess both
hallmarked and un-hallmarked precious metals. The premises are fully
equipped and enable us to provide a comprehensive and efficient
service whether you visit the shop in person or contact us through
the Security Package service. We hold in stock a wide variety of
jewellers’ accessories and a comprehensive range of new metal (gold,
silver and platinum) wire, Sheet, Colletts and Bezelstrip at
competitive prices.
